Installing the Transceiver
Mounting the Transceiver
•
Install the transceiv er so it is protected from v ibration or shock .
•
Use double-sided tape or Velcro® to mount the transceiv er.
•
Position the transceiv er where it will not contact other solid components.
•
Mount the transceiv er away from mov ing parts, sharp corners, and possible contaminants (fuel, dirt,
etc.).
•
When possible, waterproof and protect the transceiv er by wrapping it in foam rubber and placing it in a
rubber balloon or plastic bag. If you accidentally get moisture or fuel inside the transceiv er, intermittent
or erratic operation may result.
•
Position the transceiv er so the sensors can be easily connected to it.
A ntenna
•
The thinner portion at the end of the antenna wire must be outside the v ehicle body
•
DO NOT CUT the antenna wire
Connecting the Transceiver
Servo Connection
Connect the servos to the appropriate positions in the transceiver:
Connect...
Receiv er battery
Steering servo
Throttle serv o or ESC
Shifting servo
Servo Input Plugs
The transceiv er is designed to use Futaba J-sty le input plugs
with wiring order as shown in the diagram.
Serv o lead wires MUST be in this order. If the serv o wires are
in a different order, y ou must re-order the wires in the input
plug. Check with y our serv o manufacturer about the color and
order of the servo lead wiring.
When you insert the servo input plug into the transceiv er, note
that the input plug may hav e an alignment tab. Orient the
alignment tab properly before inserting the input plug.
To remov e in input plug from the transceiv er, pull the input
plug rather than the serv o wires.
