This chapter provides an overview of the structure, compo
nents and method of operation of CPX terminals. The power
supply concept as well as special configuration and commis
sioning functions of CPX terminals are also briefly explained.
Information on the pneumatic modules can be found in the
appropriate pneumatics manual. Information on the possible
connection methods of the I/O modules as well as informa
tion on the pneumatic interface can be found in the manual
for the CPX I/O modules.
