8.2.2 Faults indicated on the handset display

Possible cause
The control unit is protec-
ted from
overheating. Overheating
has activated this
overheating protection.
The display shows four dashes.
Possible cause
The display handset was
connected to the control
unit while the control unit
was connected to mains
power voltage.
The display shows E + a fault number.
Possible cause
An internal fault has oc-
curred in the control unit.
Remedy
Wait for the control unit to cool
down and the HOT message to go
out on the display. The control unit
is now ready for operation again.
Remedy
Disconnect the power cable from
the mains power voltage. Leave
the control unit voltage-free for
approx. 10 seconds. Reconnect the
power cable to the mains power.
Remedy
Proceed as described in the fol-
lowing fault list.
