Installation Parameter Table
The table below provides a complete list of the installation parameters that you can set, in the order
in which they appear, together with a brief description of each one. The first parameter "Sender's
name" is always accessible. Whether the parameters "Sender's number", "Dial type" and "Dial type
for pub. net." are accessible depends on how a special selector was set, in accordance with the
legislation of the country in which you bought the machine. Another selector controls access to the
other parameters in the table.

This parameter is used for entering the name you
intend to use as the sender's ID. Up to 16 characters
can be entered.
This parameter specifies your telephone number. You
can enter up to 20 digits.
This parameter must correspond to the type of
connection used. If the facsimile machine is connected
to a private branch exchange, you must also select the
method used for connecting to the public line and the
type of dialling used by the exchange. The connection
methods available are: Dial number, Earth and Flash.
"Dial number" is the most commonly used mode. The
types of dialling are pulse and tone.
Enables you to choose, having connected the machine
to the public network, the type of dialling: pulse or tone.
Used for setting the number of rings emitted before the
machine automatically answers an incoming call. You
can set from 1 to 9 rings.
Represents the number of attempts (automatic redial
function) that the machine will make automatically
when the number is busy or no answer is received. You
can set from 1 to 9 redials.
Indicates the delay (in seconds) between one
automatic redial and the next.
Indicates the time (in seconds) that the machine will
wait before automatically preparing to receive a fax,
providing the "FAX/PHONE" switch is on.
