REPAIRING DRIVER SQUIB CIRCUIT SHORTED

Perform TEST 1A Before Proceeding
START TEST 4A.
ENSURE THE DRIVER
AIRBAG MODULE
SQUIB HARNESS
CONNECTOR...
DISCONNECT THE
DRIVER AIRBAG
MODULE SQUIB
HARNESS
CONNECTOR.**
TURN IGNITION ON.
(ENGINE OFF).
RECONNECT THE
BATTERY.
DISCONNECT THE
CLOCKSPRING 2-WAY
HARNESS
CONNECTOR.**
TURN IGNITION OFF.
WITH AN
OHMMETER...
*Perform Verification TEST VER-1A.
NOTE: FOR LOCATION
WARNING: DISCONNECT
OF ALL COMPONENTS.
THE BATTERY AND WAIT
2 MINUTES BEFORE
SEE GENERAL INFO 4.0
IS COMPLETELY
CONNECTED BEFORE
WAS THE CONNECTOR
DISCONNECTING IN
NEXT STEP.
WITH THE DRB, READ
THE ACTIVE CODES.

CIRCUIT OPEN"?
WITH THE DRB, READ
THE ACTIVE CODES.

MEASURE BETWEEN THE
DRIVER AIRBAG LINE 1
IS THE RESISTANCE
AND LINE 2 CKTS AT
BELOW 5.0 OHMS?
THE CLOCKSPRING
HARNESS CONN. FIG. 1
**Check connectors - Clean / repair as necessary.

SHORTING CLIP FOR
DAMAGE. IF NO
SHORT IS FOUND,
REPLACE THE ACM.*
PERFORM TEST
