REPAIRING INOPERATIVE BLOWER MOTOR

Perform TEST 1A Before Proceeding
START TEST 8A.
KEY ON. USING A
VOLTMETER, MEASURE
THE IGNITION SWITCH
OUTPUT CKT FOR FUSE
#23. FIG. 1
REINSTALL THE
FUSE.
TURN THE BLOWER
SWITCH OFF.
USING A VOLTMETER,
MEASURE THE FUSED
IGNITION SWITCH
OUTPUT CIRCUIT.

RECONNECT THE
BLOWER MOTOR
RESISTOR HARNESS
CONNECTOR.
USING A VOLTMETER,
BACKPROBE AND
MEASURE THE BLOWER
MOTOR DRIVER
CIRCUIT. FIG. 3
*Perform Verification TEST VER-2A.
REMOVE AND INSPECT
FUSE #2
3 IN THE
JUNCTION BLOCK

MOTOR RESISTOR
HARNESS CONNECTOR.**

USING A VOLTMETER,
BACKPROBE AND
MEASURE THE FUSED
IGNITION SWITCH
OUTPUT CKT. FIG. 3
**Check connectors - Clean / repair as necessary.

ABOVE 10.0 VOLTS?
YES
IS THE VOLTAGE

IS THE VOLTAGE

IS THE VOLTAGE

ABOVE 10.0 VOLTS?
YES
PERFORM TEST
8B.
REPAIR THE OPEN
IGNITION SWITCH
OUTPUT CIRCUIT TO
FUSE #23. IF OK,
REPLACE THE J/B.*
REPAIR THE OPEN
FUSED IGNITION
SWITCH OUTPUT
CIRCUIT.*
REPLACE THE BLOWER
MOTOR RESISTOR.*
REPLACE THE BLOWER
MOTOR.*
CONTINUE TEST
