Place the Ace of Clubs into the field of view and press the Trig button on the reader; though you
need to hold the button in until the code is read with this trigger type you should notice that the code
is read fairly quickly so it seems that pressing the button is sufficient. You should see something like
the image below (Fig. 77).
From the Tune menu in the Quick Setup pane switch the reader to Automatic Exposure. Move the
card from the table top to a position about an inch away from the front of the reader and press and
release the Trig button on the reader. The image should appear very bright and no code will be read
as the entire code is not in the field of view. Begin to move the card further from the reader pressing
and momentarily holding the Trig button until you reach a point where the entire code is in the field
of view and it can be read. You should have noticed the exposure changing slightly with each
successive trigger. Place the card on the table top and trigger the reader again; you should again
see the exposure change a bit.
Open the Trigger Settings tab again and select a Trigger Type of Presentation (internal) (Fig. 78).
This type has the following attributes.
Reads continuously.
Next acquisition starts once previous image is decoded.
Works with Automatic Exposure.
Not intended for moving applications. Other trigger types should be used as they are
more configurable for moving applications.
Designed for hand presentation of a variety of codes.
