Select the Image PC Transfer tab of the Buffering and Transfer dialog (Fig. 65). On this tab you can
specify the folder where the buffered images can be transferred. You can use the default folder, a
new folder as shown in the image below or any other folder you wish to use. To specify a new folder
click the drop arrow at the right side of the control and select <Browse...> from the list and navigate
to the desired folder using the navigation dialog that opens. The Image Count in the Transfer Folder
section shows how many images are in the folder; when there are images in the folder the contents
can be cleared with the Clear Transfer Folder button (disabled when the folder is empty).
In the Filename Format section you can specify an image name prefix and either a numerical index
or a date and time at which the image was captured.
In the Number of Buffered Images section, the number of images that have been buffered will be
shown and when there are buffered images the Transfer Now button will be enabled.

Move the Ace of Clubs out of the field of view. When the reader is triggered you will see the
illumination LED's begin to flash at a rate of once every half second (from the Interval time set on the
Light and Imager Settings dialog) and when the code has been read the illumination LED's
will stop flashing.
With the Trigger hotkey, trigger the reader and move the card through the field of view at a moderate
pace. Be sure that your fingers are not covering the code. In the Number of Buffered Images box
you should see somewhere between one and five images depending on how quickly you moved the
card through the field of view. Click the Transfer Now button to transfer the images to the previously
selected folder. If you click on the Open in Image Playback button, a tab will open next to the tab
currently selected which will contain the buffered images. At the bottom of this tab will be a filmstrip
control where the images can be displayed by clicking on them to select them or by using the
controls in the Image Playback menu at the top of the software window (Fig. 66 on next page).
