Configuration Manager overview
To log on to a unit using the serial port
1 From the menu, choose Connect
Result: The Serial Port Configuration dialog box appears.
2 Enter the COM port number to which the unit is connected, and then click
OK.
Result: The User Authentication for Serial Mode dialog box appears.
3 Enter your logon name and password, and then click OK.
Result: The connection attempt is initiated. The message Trying to
Connect via Serial Port <port number> might appear.

Check the serial port connection and ensure it is
good. Then, go back to step 1.
