3. 3 CAPTURE POLYGONS

The Capture Polygons function allows a user to select latitude and longitude points to create a specific area to be scanned.
Scanning can be started either manually or automatically when the system enters the area defined by the polygon and
likewise stop when the system leaves the polygon.
To set a polygon area click on the Capture Polygons button at the bottom of the GPS window. The Polygon Editor
window opens, as shown below.

If available, enter coordinates for the scan target area into the Polygon Editor box, labeled above the Import button. For
optimal results, the polygon area should be slightly smaller, by approximately 15-20 meters, than the total flight plan to
allow for changes in direction. Clicking the Import button saves the coordinates in the Polygon Editor and, if not named,
names each generated polygon. Click the Apply button after the polygon is imported, to load the polygon into the IMU
display.
