2.1 OVERVIEW

Depending on where the Airborne unit is deployed, the GPS/IMU device needs to have the internal magnetic field sensors
calibrated. This should be done on a regular schedule, if the unit is repeatedly used in a particular location, or if the device
is used in multiple locations separated by a significant distance, the device should be calibrated prior to field use. If the
GPS/IMU is removed from the sensor, it is recommended that when the device is re-attached that the GPS/IMU be re-
calibrated.
The software for calibrating the GPS/IMU unit is found on the Airborne software flash drive, included in the airborne
package. The software installs and operates on Windows XP and Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems. Install
the MT Manager and Magnetic Field Mapper. It is the Magnetic Field Mapper that will be used for the calibration process.

2.2 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION.

Prior to beginning the installation procedure the user must be logged onto the
computer as the administrator.
Within the documents supplied with the airborne system there is an Xsens document that contains the serial key. This is
needed to install the MT Manager. Locate this serial key document and set it aside for the time when the download
manager requests the information.
(1) Locate and insert the airborne software flash drive into the USB port of the computer.
(2) Open the drive and folder containing the MT Software Suite installer.
