(1) Click the Windows Start icon and select Control Panel. (2) On the Control Panel click System and Security, then click Administrative Tools. (3) In the right side pane click Services, as shown in the following figure.

When Next is clicked, the progress window opens. When the installation is complete, the Completing Setup Wizard window opens, as shown below.

    NOTE Navigate to the folder C:\headwall and verify the presence of the dem and radioCal folders, if these were ordered for the system. If they are not present, copy and paste the folders from the installation directory into the headwall directory.

The flash drive included with the sensor contains the configuration files in a folder identified as sensorConfig. This folder should be copied from the included flash drive and pasted into the C:\\headwall directory.

    III CONFIGURATION - NANO ® The Hyperspec III application does not need to be configured for the Nano-Hyperspec device. The values for the applications are set during the factory installation and testing processes. ® The following steps can be used to verify the configuration for a Nano-Hyperspec or familiarize users with the application.

    ® HYPERSPEC III CONFIGURATION / NANO 3.3.1.1 Settings_ Capture Tab. The Capture tab is shown in Figure 3-12. The first line, Capture folder, identifies the default location of the capture folders that contain the data from the scans. The folder location is changed by clicking the ellipsis button and searching the computer directory for the desired location.

    Opening the Spectrograph tab shows the values already set for the unit. Prior to using a Headwall device to collect hyperspectral data, the system must be configured for the correct match between the sensor and the values under which the unit performs. The information needed for the Spectrograph configuration is on the Certificate of Compliance (C of C), in the document package supplied with the sensor.

The pull down values are automatically populated through the software and Nano configuration. The fodis unit needs to be attached to the Nano, powered ON and operational before it is automatically recognized. Once this is done, use the tab to enable and configure the fodis sensor.

    The GPS options, when connected, provide the user with the ability to initiate data capture at a specified point that the system reaches and continue the capture through either a line or polygon area. Since the Headwall hyperspectral unit would be moving on either a surface or aerial platform, the GPS unit can initiate capture as well as track capture locations and terminate capture once an endpoint is reached.

    File Transfer: Click this button to transfer the data cube from the Headwall device to another, connected computer. If a GPS device is connected to the Headwall sensor, a button for the GPS device replaces Motion on the Button Dock. 4.2.1 Live Video.

    4.2.2 Motion. Headwall sensors can be mounted on a fixed platform, to view targets passing in front of the sensor. Or, with the Pan and Tilt unit, Rotary Stage or an aerial platform, the Headwall sensor can be moved for scanning. In either configuration, accurate viewing and analysis of the target requires that linear or pedestal speeds are identified and controlled.

    The File Prefix is a user defined reference to more readily identify a file. The frames per cube and other variables are set ® by the user to collect adequate data for analysis. All the cubes are contained on the Nano-Hyperspec unit and should be transfered to a computer after collection.
