Stopping the Engine

Operation of stopping the engine as follows:
1 After bringing the car to a stop, ALWAYS apply the
parking brake;
2 To apply the parking brake;
3 Place the shift lever in P position;
Note: If the parking brake is applied but the shift
lever is not fully in parking (P) position, then it
is very dangerous to get off. The car may move
suddenly to injure yourself or others when you
start the engine.
4 For key start vehicle, turn the key from ON/RUN
position to LOCK/OFF position to stop the engine,
and remove the key.
5 For passive start vehicle, press ENGINE START/STOP
button to stop the engine.
Note: For passive start vehicle, when the engine
needs to be stopped in emergency, press the ENGINE
START/STOP button for more than 4 seconds to stop
the engine.
