Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPS)/
Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Warning -
Red/Yellow
The warning lamp is used to indicate electric
power steering failure or steering angle sensor failure.
With the ignition in ON position, this lamp illuminates to
conduct a system self-check and extinguishes upon the
completion.
If this lamp illuminates yellow, it indicates the electric
power assisted steering system has a general failure and
the performance will be reduced. After the car is started,
the message centre displays
accompanied with an audible warning. As soon as safety
permits, stop the car, switch off the engine and restart.
If the lamp remains illuminated seek an MG Authorised
Repairer urgently.
If this lamp flashes red, it indicates the electric power
steering system has a serious fault. After the car is started,
the message centre displays

accompanied with an audible warning. Please seek an MG
Authorised Repairer urgently.
If this lamp illuminates red, it indicates the steering angle
sensor has a fault or is not calibrated. After the car is
started, the message centre displays

audible warning. Please seek an MG Authorised Repairer
urgently.
Engine Immobiliser System Warning - Red
With the ignition in ON position, this lamp
illuminates to conduct a system self-check and extinguishes
upon the completion.
With the ignition in ON position, the lamp illuminates if
a valid key is not detected, the message centre displays
Invalid Key
accompanied with an audible warning. Please
use the right key.
With the ignition in ON position, the lamp flashes if the
remote key low battery, the message centre displays
Battery Low
. Please change the key battery.
