7.4. Cut-off card connection
The PipeRoot process demands very quick response in the secondary current. This response is delivered by connector
•
X2
7.5. Analog (current and secondary voltage measurements)
Primary current is measured by current transformer on the main circuit card
•
Current transformer signal is rectified on processor card (V15-V18) and converted to voltage signal by resistors (R118,
•
R93, R94, R117, R164 and R165). This signal is then divided, filtered, amplified and brought to the fast analog- to digi-
tal converter (N7)
FPGA reads the measured primary current from A:D-converter data output
•
FastMig X measures secondary voltage two different ways; differentially from wire feed unit and direct from power
•
supply output. Differential voltage signal is brought to power source by connector X010. This connector leads the sig-
nal to processor card connector X11
The secondary voltage signal is scaled down, filtered and amplified before it goes to A:D-converters inputs
•
FPGA reads the secondary voltage measurements from A:D-converters outputs
•
7.6. Machine size jumpers J1, J2
Power source X 450 has a jumper fitted between connector X9:2, 5
7.7. Primary current limit
Primary current voltage signal is brought to the over-current comparator (N3). If primary current is too high the over-
•
current comparator switch off the power source power stage
