CHAPTER 5

5.1 Overview

This chapter describes a series of activities that can be used to check the
operation of the system and to verify that your Switchos Advanced Microcolumn
Switching Unit is operating in an acceptable manner.
This chapter includes:
•
Testing the Solvent Bottle Caps and Degassing Unit (Section 5.2.1).
• Testing for the Solvent Selection Valve (Section 5.2.2).
• Testing of the fluid path for the Solvent Selection Valve and solvent lines
(Section 5.2.3).
• Testing of the Switching Valves (Section 5.2.4).
Note: Unless otherwise noted, pure methanol should be used as the solvent and
these tests should be performed at 25
