CRS-170A DIP Switch Settings

The 'Switch Conditions' DIP switches are set depending upon the type of Tx or Rx traffic
conditions resultant of switchover. Some modems have additional settings or alarm
masks that affect conditions – see your individual modem manual for detailed
explanations.
Comtech EF Data's expansion of compatible product required a change in the labeling on the Antenna
Side (towards the BUC and LNB) of the CRS-170A L-Band 1:1 Redundancy Switch. Figure 4-6 shows the
change to the 'Mode' DIP switch labeling between the original and current (i.e., Rev. 'A' and later)
production versions of the CRS-170A.
Use these features to set the 'Mode' and 'Switch Conditions' controls:
See Table 4-1 for setting the 'Mode' DIP switches. These settings define product/switch
compatibility.
See Table 4-2 for setting the 'Switch Conditions' DIP switches. These settings define the
conditional switchover functions.
