Configuring Pseudowire Headend
Attaches the generic interface list to the PW-Ether or PW-IW interface.
Step 4
l2overhead bytes
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# l2overhead 20
Sets layer 2 overhead size.
Step 5
load-interval seconds
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# load-interval 90
Specifies interval, in seconds, for load calculation for an interface.
The interval:
• Can be set to 0 [0 disables load calculation]
• If not 0, must be specified in multiples of 30 between 30 and 600.
Step 6
dampening decay-life
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# dampening 10
Configures state dampening on the given interface (in minutes).
Step 7
logging events link-status
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# logging events link-status
Configures per interface logging.
Step 8
mac-address MAC address
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# mac-address aaaa.bbbb.cccc
Sets the MAC address (xxxx.xxxx.xxxx) on an interface.

mtu interface_MTU
Example:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# mtu 128
Sets the MTU on an interface.
Step 10
Use the commit or end command.
commit - Saves the configuration changes and remains within the configuration session.
end - Prompts user to take one of these actions:
• Yes - Saves configuration changes and exits the configuration session.
