Operations - Important Points

- Retighten all nuts and bolts before start seeding and after the first working
day. Check the conditions of pins and cotter pins.
- Lubricate properly all the grease fittings. (See lubrication instructions from pages
69 to 71).
- The correct tires calibration (the same for both) is important to maintain an
even seeding. Always inflate the driving tires with 30 PSI of pressure.
- When filling the seeder observe the correct coupling to the tractor. Verify if
there is any object inside the hoppers that may cause damage to the metering
devices.
- In case the machine being equipped with the Horizontal Metering, for Large
Seeds, clean the seed plates twice a day and observe the proper working of
the cutoff mechanism.
- Always use seeds and fertilizer free from debris.
- Maintain the machine leveled.
- Check the established adjustments in the beginning of the seeding periodically.
- Give special attention to the fertilizer placement in relation to the seeds.
- It is important to maintain the constant speed in the whole seeding.
* Seeding with Fluted Feed Cups = 08 Km/h.
* Seeding with Horizontal Large Seeds Metering
- The tractor drawbar must be locked in center for both work and transportation.
- When the seeder is equipped with the row markers, use them correctly to avoid
future waste.
- Never make maneuvers or use reverse speed with the row units touching the
soil.
- To make any verification in the machine, it is necessary to lower the seeder on
the ground and to turn off the tractor engine.
- As previously mentioned, the SDA CP seeder possess several adjustments.
Therefore only the local conditions can determine the best adjustment of those
ones.
= 05 Km/h for Corn;
= 07 Km/h for Soybean.
