Conditions Settings

Confirm the following settings.
Items
Menus [Check Items]
Is the correct menu selected?
[Countermeasure]
Choose the menu item appropriate for the code to be read.
Reading [Check Items]
• Has a finder pattern been detected?
• Has cell recognition been performed properly?
If ON is set for Display settings/FP & Cell position the finder pattern and cell recog-
nition position can be checked on the monitor.
[Countermeasure]
Reading accuracy can be improved by adjusting the following items:
• Field of vision
• Lighting
• Activation of Smoothing in Filtering
• Activation of BGS levels
Settings [Check Items]
Check that the following items match the code being read:
• Symbol color
• R&L reverse
• Matrix size (for DataMatrix mode)
• Version (for QRCode mode)
[Countermeasure]
Match the settings on the left to the reading code.
Other [Check Items]
Check error codes.
[Countermeasure]
Take countermeasures according to the error codes listed on page 253.
To read at high speed, set a small search area and angle range. Note that correct reading may not
be possible in some cases, so you must verify by actually performing reading after the change.
