5.4.1. Crosspoint Operations
Switching
To make a connection click on the desired
square. If there is no connection between
the desired input and output (the square is
dark grey), the mouse pointer becomes a
hand (link pointer) before the clicking. If the
output port is not locked, the connection is
made, the square becomes white and the
cursor changes back to a pointer.
For example, Input 8 is not connected to
Output 1 as shown on the first picture. If the
connection is established the square becomes white.

5.5.2. Frame Detector
The ports can show detailed information about the signal like blanking
intervals and active video resolution. This feature is a good
troubleshooter if compatibility problems occur during system
installation. To access this function, open the port properties window
and click on Frame detector button.
Frame Detector Window
Lightware's frame detector function works like a signal analyzer and
makes possible to determine the exact video format that is present
on the port, thus helps to identify many problems. E.g. actual timing
parameters may differ from the expected and this may cause some
displays to drop the picture.
Frame detector measures detailed timings on the video signals just
like a built-in oscilloscope, but it is much more easy to use. Actual
display area shows the active video size (light grey). Dark gray area
of the full frame is the blanking interval which can contain the info
frames and embedded audio data for HDMI signals. Shown values are
measured actually on the signal and not retrieved only from the HDMI
info frames.
