Troubleshooting
Problem
ProControl 1KE is completely
dark.
ProControl 1KE has power but
does not function.
Pressure or Flow Rate reads 0
when fluid is flowing.

Inaccurate flow reading

Display readout faulty.
Communication failure

Cause
Power is not on.
Loose or disconnected power
cable.
Hardware failure.
Loose or disconnected flow
meter/pressure transducer cable.
Units in Setup are set to NONE,
indicating that the system has no
pressure transducer and/or fluid
meter.
Faulty flow meter sensor or meter.
Meter needs calibration.
Wrong transducer is selected.
Offset or slope are set incorrectly.
Excessive static discharge.
Ambient temperature too high.
Incorrect data addresses.
Incorrect communication
parameters.
Incorrect cabling.
Clogs in fluid line or in meter.
Gears worn or damaged.
Inadequate air supply through the
I/P transducer.
Solution
Turn power supply on.
Tighten or connect cable.
Replace ProControl 1KE.
Check the digital input/output
cable going to/from the meter.
Choose preferred units for
each device present. See
Setup Screen 2, page 27, for pres-
sure, Setup Screen 3, page
flow rate.
Replace sensor or meter.
Calibrate meter. See
Calibrate the Meter, page
Choose the correct trans-
ducer from the options in
Setup Screen 6, page 29.
Review and correct settings
for the pressure offset (mV)
and slope (mV/bar). See
Setup Screen 6, page 29.
Replace ProControl 1KE.
Lower ambient temperature.
Check address configuration.
Check communication
parameters.
Check cabling and wiring. See

Clean fluid line and/or meter. See
