Alarm LED
Landis+Gyr
58/88
The red alarm LED indicates that the meter is not functioning correctly.
Two types of alarms are shown:
• A constantly lit Alarm LED indicates that an Alarm has been issued. An
Alarm indicates an internal meter error that prevents the meter from
measuring correctly. An "FF" on the display and the Alarm Output are
also initiated.
• A blinking Alarm LED indicates that a Operational Indication has been
issued.
There are two types of Operational Indications:
• Internal conditions that remain until the condition is rectified, e.g.
battery voltage low. In this case, an alarm output and possibly an entry
in the event log (depending on parameter settings) are also initiated.
Operational Indications are cancelled when the appropriate steps have
been taken to remedy the condition, e.g. the battery is replaced.
• External operating conditions that clear automatically when the
condition no longer exists, e.g. missing phase voltage L1. In this case,
an entry in the event log and alarm output are also initiated (depending
on parameter setting).
How to respond to errors is described in paragraph
6.3 Errors on page 71
