3. Verify the Item—This is the name of the system, controller, or disk, or the version number. Verify that

Configuring Disk Raid

The recommended disk RAID levels are displayed. The RAID levels are determined based on the system
hardware configuration and provide optimum capacity, performance, and data protection.
Procedure
If you want to change the disk RAID levels, click Change RAID.
For further instructions, go to Changing the Disk RAID .
If you accept the default configuration, go to the section appropriate for your configuration:
Network configuration for Fibre Channel systems
Network configuration for iSCSI systems

Changing the Disk RAID

If you chose Change Raid in the Configure Disk RAID window, the Add Disk Raid window is displayed.
You can select another RAID based on the number of disks and their desired usage characteristics, such
as performance or capacity. If tiered disks are discovered, you are presented with options using the tiers.
Disks are automatically assigned to a storage tier. Only valid, symmetrical RAID configuration options are
presented and can be selected.
Procedure
1. To change the configuration for a specific tier, select Configure for the tier, and Add at the bottom of
the window.
2. On the configuration window for the chosen tier, click Select RAID Type.
3. The valid configurations for the tier will be displayed in the Configuration description list. Select a
configuration and click OK.

Data network configuration

The network ports that are displayed have been discovered on the system. HPE recommends bonding
the network ports. The data and management traffic take place on the bonded interfaces.
You can configure either a Fibre Channel system or an iSCSI system.
For Fibre Channel systems, see Network configuration for Fibre Channel systems
For iSCSI systems, see Network configuration for iSCSI systems
