15. Settings

NOTE: Some settings may be unavailable or locked, depending on the system configuration.
The Settings app provides the possibility to customize the handset:
1 Swipe to the right or tap the app view icon
App view.
2 Tap the Settings app icon
The different settings in the Settings app sub-menus are explained below:

15.1 Display Settings
Settings related to the handset displays, such as brightness and text size, can be configured
in the Display settings sub-menu.
The following can be set:
•

15.1.1 Change brightness

15.1.2 Set font size

• 15.1.3 Owner ID and name
• 15.1.4 Sleep timeout
• 15.1.5 Rotate top display
15.1.1 Change brightness
The display brightness can be adjusted either automatically or manually:
Automatic adjustment
1 Tap "Display".
2 Select the "Automatic brightness" check box to let the handset automatically adapt
the brightness of the display to the brightness of the surrounding light in the room.
Manual adjustment
1 Tap "Display".
2 Tap "Brightness".
3 Drag the slider to manually adjust the brightness level.
The brightness can also be set from the notification drawer, refer to
Drawer on page 57.
15.1.2 Set font size
The size of some of the text in the user interface can be adjusted to improve readability.
1 Tap "Display".
