Push-to-talk Group Call

A Push-to-talk (PTT) group call provides instant voice connectivity to a group of persons.
When a person in the group wants to talk, the person taps and holds a button to activate
the microphone on the handset.
NOTE: The handset cannot receive other calls while in a Push-to-talk group call.
• To participate in a PTT session the handset must first receive an invitation, see
a PTT call session
• The PTT call screen is used to communicate in a PTT session, see

• Incoming PTT session invitations can be rejected, if not set to be accepted automatically,
see 5.6.3 Reject a PTT invitation
• A rejected/ignored PTT invitation can be used to rejoin the session later (as long as the
session remains active), see
• A group of users can be invited to participate in a PTT call by initiating a session, see

Join a PTT call session

To accept a PTT invitation
1 Accept the incoming call, or tap "Accept" or "Join" on the alert message to accept the
invitation and join the call.
NOTE: The handset can accept the invitation automatically, start in mute mode, or
start in loudspeaking mode, depending on the configuration of the invitation.
2 The handset is connected to the PTT session, and the Push-to-talk call screen is

NOTE: Invitations disappear from the screen if not accepted within 60 seconds. All
previously received invitations are stored in the alert view, and can be joined later (as
long as the session remains active), see
