Precautions for Safe Use
• Perform a function test every six months to detect contact welding failures on contactors.
• It is the user's responsibility to make sure that the entire system complies with standards.
• To detect electrical and mechanical failures, combine redundant semiconductor output con-
tacts with redundant mechanical output devices.
• Wire the terminals correctly according to the wiring example. Connect the NO contacts on
the two-hand control switch to terminals Si0 and Si2 on the G9SP-series Controller and con-
nect the NC contacts to terminals Si1 and Si3. A malfunction will occur if the connections
are not correct.
Additional Information
• The output will not turn ON if the simultaneous operation requirement of the two-hand con-
trol switch (i.e., that the operation inputs from both hands be completed within 500 ms) is not
met.
• A two-hand control switch that is set as a safety input terminal operates as a single channel.
For dual-channel monitoring, use the Two-hand Control function block instead of safety input
terminals.
