Module
Neither of the modules in the ERS
system are configured as the P
sensor.
The configuration of one or both sensor
modules is unknown.
The 3051S ERS System contains two
sensor modules that will not work
together.
The "Span" button on the electronics
featureboard is stuck.
The "Zero" button on the electronics
featureboard is stuck.

Recommended Actions
Verify that both sensors are connected and
properly wired. Change the pressure designation
of one of the two modules to "P
Communicator or AMS.
Verify that both sensors are connected and
properly wired. Using a Field Communicator or
AMS, assign one of the modules as the "P
sensor and the other module as the "P
sensor.
The 3051S ERS System cannot contain one
gage and one absolute sensor. Replace one of
the two modules so that both sensors are either
gage or absolute.
Locate the ERS Primary Unit, remove the front
housing cover (considering hazardous location
requirements), and gently pry the span button.
Locate the ERS Primary Unit, remove the front
housing cover (considering hazardous location
requirements), and gently pry the zero button.
Verify the measured P
temperature is beyond
HI
the trip limits. If necessary, modify the trip limits
or disable the diagnostic.
Verify that the ambient conditions do not exceed
the temperature limits of the pressure module
(-40 to 185 °F / -40 to 85 °C).

Verify that the ambient conditions do not exceed
the temperature limits of the pressure module
(-40 to 185 °F / -40 to 85 °C).
Replace the electronics featureboard at the next
maintenance shutdown.
Replace the electronics featureboard.
Examine the LCD Connector and reinstall and
repower the LCD. If the problem persists, first
replace the LCD then replace the feature board
electronics if necessary.
Make sure that the correct LCD has been
installed (refer to Spare Parts List in Appendix A:
for LCD part number).
