Possible Problems
The primary variable has exceeded the
range points defined for the 4-20 mA
analog output signal. The analog
output is fixed at the high
or low saturation point and is not
representative of the current process
conditions.
The ERS system is measuring a
differential pressure value that exceeds
the configured upper or lower alert
value.
The electronics featureboard in the
ERS Primary Unit has malfunctioned.
The P
sensor module has failed.
HI
The P
sensor module has failed.
LO
The P
sensor module has failed.
HI
The P
sensor module has failed.
LO
The P
sensor module has detected a
HI
pressure value that exceeds the
configured upper or lower alert value.
Communication between the P-Hi
sensor module and the electronics
featureboard has been lost.
The P
Pressure reading has
HI
exceeded the sensor's maximum
measurement range.
The P
sensor module has detected a
LO
pressure value that exceeds the
configured upper or lower alert value.
Communication between the P
sensor module and the electronics
featureboard has been lost.
The P
Pressure reading has
LO
exceeded the sensor's maximum
measurement range.
The analog output of the ERS System
is in "fixed current mode" and is not
representative of the HART PV.
A sensor module is missing or not
detected.
Neither of the modules in the ERS
system are configured as the P
sensor.

Recommended Actions
Verify the process conditions and modify the
Analog Range Values if necessary.
Verify the measured DP is beyond the trip limits.
If necessary, modify the trip limits or disable the
diagnostic.
Replace the electronics featureboard.
Verify the P
Module Temperature is within the
HI
operating limits of the sensor. Replace the P
sensor module if necessary.
Verify the P
Module Temperature is within the
LO
operating limits of the sensor. Replace the P
sensor module if necessary.
Verify the P
Module Temperature is within the
HI
operating limits of the sensor. Replace the P
sensor module if necessary.
Verify the P
Module Temperature is within the
LO
operating limits of the sensor. Replace the P
sensor module if necessary.
Verify the measured P
trip limits. If necessary, modify the trip limits or
disable the diagnostic.
Verify the wiring between the P
electronics featureboard. Replace the P
module and/or electronics featureboard if
necessary.
Check the process for potential overpressure
conditions.
Verify the measured P
trip limits. If necessary, modify the trip limits or
disable the diagnostic.
Verify the wiring between the P
LO
the electronics featureboard. Replace the P
module and/or electronics featureboard if
necessary.
Check the process for potential overpressure
conditions.
Using a Field Communicator or AMS, disable
"Loop Current Mode."
Verify that both sensors are connected and
properly wired.
Verify that both sensors are connected and
properly wired. Change the pressure designation
HI
of one of the two modules to "P
Communicator or AMS.
