Non-Alarm points are addressable monitor modules programmed with one of the
Non-Alarm Type Codes:
A latching Type Code used for Monitoring critical processes or
HAZARD ALERT
other hazardous situations, such as a tornado
A non-latching Type Code used for Air handler shutdown, intended
FIRE CONTROL
to override normal operating automatic functions

A non-latching Type Code, used for energy management or other
NON
FIRE
non-fire situations, that does not affect operation of the control panel
Non-Alarm points, except Non-Fire, operate like monitored system functions that can
produce troubles—but with the differences shown in the following sections.

Activation of a
HARZARD ALERT
Produce a pulsed audible tone
Turn on the Trouble relay (MPS-6, TB5) and the Supervisory relay (MPS-6, TB4)
Flash the
SYSTEM TROUBLE
Activate the monitor module Control-by-Event
Override the Code Type selection (March Time, Two-Stage, Temporal, California)
for NACs and Panel Circuits
Latch the monitor module in trouble until you resolve the trouble condition and
reset the control panel
Send a message to the LCD display, History buffer, and installed printers, terminal
mode LCD-80s, and CRT-2s
Display an
status banner and
ACTIVE
display, along with information specific to the device, as shown in Figure 22
