● DIMM population guidelines:
a.
The white slots take the priority, while CPU1 DIMM shall be symmetrically installed with
CPU0 DIMM.
b.
For the single CPU, the DIMM population follows the screen printed sequence: CPU0_
C0D0, CPU0_C1D0, CPU0_C2D0, CPU0_C3D0, CPU0_C4D0, CPU0_C5D0; CPU0_C0D1,
CPU0_C1D1...
c.
For dual CPUs, CPU0 DIMM population follows the screen printed sequence: CPU0_C0D0,
CPU0_C1D0, CPU0_C2D0, CPU0_C3D0, CPU0_C4D0, CPU0_C5D0, CPU0_C0D1... ; CPU1
DIMM population follows the screen printed sequence: CPU1_C0D0, CPU1_C1D0, CPU1_
C2D0, CPU1_C3D0, CPU1_C4D0, CPU1_C5D0, CPU1_C0D1 ...
Step 1: Open the lock tabs on both ends of the DIMM slot.
Step 2: Align the bottom key with the receptive point on the slot, press both ends of the
DIMM with your thumbs. Insert the DIMM into the slot completely, and the lock tabs will
automatically secure the DIMM, locking it into place.

6.3 Hot-plug HDD Option

CAUTION:
For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles,
expansion slot covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components,
minimize the amount of time the access panel is open.
