Cleaning The Stainless-Steel Milk Container; Descaling The Appliance - Miele CVA 4062 Technical Information

CVA 4062/CVA 4066/CVA 4068 Coffee Systems
1. Switch the appliance on.
2. From the customer settings menu, select Maintenance and then touch OK.
3. Select Clean milk pipework and touch OK.
4. Select Start and touch OK.
5. When prompted to dissolve the cleaning agent in the large plastic container, fill this
container with lukewarm water to the "max" mark, add the cleaning agent, and
press OK. Lukewarm water must be used to dissolve the cleaning agent properly.
It is important to use the supplied Miele cleaning agent as it has been developed
specifically for this machine.
6. When prompted again, fit the lid from the stainless-steel milk container on the large
plastic container, then turn it counterclockwise until it engages with the container.
Insert it in the coffee system where the stainless-steel milk container normally sits.
Close the appliance door and touch OK.
7. Follow the directions in the display.
8. When Prog. finished appears in the display, the pipework has been cleaned. The
appliance may now be switched off.

Cleaning the Stainless-Steel Milk Container

Note:
It is important to keep the neck and seals of this container clean. Any soiling
can lead to malfunction of the milk container.
1. Clean the stainless-steel milk container and lid by hand with soap and hot water.
2. Rinse the handle under running water and then clean it thoroughly with a damp
cloth to remove all milk residue.
3. If the milk pipework in the milk container lid is clogged, clean it under running
water, using the supplied cleaning brush, until all milk deposits are removed.

Do not fill the container to the neck. Leave a gap of about

Descaling the Appliance

The CVA coffee system must be descaled regularly. The CVA will display a reminder
message to descale and will lock the appliance if not descaled. Descale tablets are
large tablets that were supplied with the machine, and are specially developed for the
CVA coffee system to optimize the descaling process.
Descale tablets can be purchase online or calling Miele directly.
Refer to the operating manual for descaling instructions.
Note:
CVA 4066 models: Set Plumbed water supply to Off before descaling
(touch OK to save the setting). After the appliance has been descaled,
reset Plumbed water supply to On and save (by touching OK). Refer to
Section 060-2.2.2 for setting instructions.
