CVA Water Tank Cleaning

When using a plumbed water supply for CVA appliances, there is the possibility that,
over time, certain impurities may collect in the water tank. These impurities may exist
in many municipal and private water supplies.
To remedy this, Germany recommends that the fresh-water tanks in these appliances
should be cleaned in the dishwasher every 30-60 days. There is no fault with the
equipment and no reason to replace the tank.
5 CVA 4062 & CVA 4066 Milk Pipework Conversion
The factory has designed a new milk pipework scheme for these coffee systems. The
purpose of this conversion is to make the pipework more easily accessible to the
customer for cleaning. This conversion has also been applied to production machines
since early summer 2010. The new owner's manual also reflects this conversion and
provides new cleaning instructions. The conversion details and instructions can be

Danger!
Safety glasses must be worn for this procedure.
Before starting any service work, the machine must be disconnected from
the power supply.
Even with the machine switched off, voltage may be applied to some
components.
Risk of burning or scalding!
Components may be hot.
Pressurized steam may exist in the system.
To avoid the risk of burning, the following should be carried out:
The machine should be switched off approximately 1 hour before starting
service and repair work to allow the flow-through heaters to cool or
Using the service mode, water should be pumped through the flow-
through heaters for approximately 30 seconds to cool them.
Note:
Service and repair work should only be carried out by suitably qualified
persons in accordance with all appropriate local and national safety
regulations.
Servicing, modification, testing and maintenance of electrical appliances
should only be carried out in accordance with all appropriate legal
requirements, accident prevention regulations and valid standards.
