Secondary Disconnects

Control wiring is connected through drawout secondary
d isconnects in the "TEST' and "CO N N ECTED" positions only.
U p to 7 2 control circu its are possible through (36) position
plug-style secondary disconnect blocks factory mou nted to
each side of d rawout breakers. One substructure disconnect
(S PDOSD36S) must be ordered for each breaker. An a dd itional
block is req uired for auxiliary switches.

CD One must be ordered for each substructure when accessories or communications
are used. When auxiliary switches are used. along with any other electrical acces
sory or communication. two disconnects must be ordered.
@ Order for replacement only. Included with drawout breaker.
Sh utters
Sh utters prevent u ni ntentional contact with potentially l ive
primary d isconnect stabs when a breaker is racked o ut of a n
energ ized switchboard compartment .

Racking Pad lock
The cata log number TDOPC racking padlock provides a
means for the user to prevent racking tool engagement,
thereby preventing movement of the b reaker between the
Disconnected, Test and Connected positions.

By-Pass Switch

Provides control circuit conti nuity or downstream signal-
ing when d rawout i s engaged. The switch can be used as
a n interlocking means to ensure the remote close solenoids
can not be energ ized unti l the d rawout b reaker primaries a re
fully engaged. The switch assem bly mounts on the station
a ry frame, and the a ctuator to the carriage. Switch contacts
a re rated at lOA at 600Vac, 0.75A at 125Vdc and 0.25A at
250Vdc.

Racking Tool

The racki ng tool is a d rive wrench with a square
that engages the racking mechanism of the d rawout
breaker. The catalog number is TDO RT. Note that one racking
tool is supplied with each g roup of five d rawout breakers at
no charge.
Mecha n ical I nterlocks for Drawout Breakers
M echanical interlocks for d rawout breakers provide the
same function as those for stationary breakers. except they
a re used with two d rawout breakers, mou nted on a common
compartment centerline, in either the same vertical section
or adjacent vertical sections.

Lifting Bar

The l ifting bar (TBOLB) provides a means of safely l ifti ng a
d rawout circuit b reaker. A chain hook should be attached to
the central hole in the l ifting bar.

Position Switch

Provides positive indication when the d rawout breaker or
switch primary contact fingers h ave been fu l ly disengaged
from the main bus con nections. Switch contacts change
state only after the primary fingers a re fu lly d isconnected
when the brea ker is being moved from the CON N ECTED posi
tion through the TEST position and i nto the DISCO N N ECTED
position.
May be used as part of a safety i nterlocki ng system in addi
tion to the visua l ind icator on the d rawout substructure. The
Position Switch accessory does not indicate either the TEST
or CO N N ECTED position. The switch assembly mounts on the
stationary frame and the a ctuator mounts to the ca rriage.
Switch contacts a re rated at lOA at 600Vac, 0.75A at 1 2 5Vdc,
and O.ZSA at 2 50Vdc.
