Removing and Replacing the Lithium Battery
Tools Required
• T-10 TORX driver (set to 9 in-lb)
• T-20 TORX driver (set to 21 in-lb)
• ESD grounding wrist strap
Removal Procedure
Refer to
Figure 7-38
to the one that is appropriate for your analyzer.
1. Disconnect the power cord.
2. Remove the A15 CPU board. Refer to
page
7-28.
3. Lift the battery (item
the battery clip (item
damaged or broken.
4. DO NOT THROW AWAY THE BATTERY. COLLECT IT AS SMALL CHEMICAL
WASTE. Refer to
battery disposal.
Replacement Procedure
1. Reverse the order of the removal procedure following all instructions included with the
new battery.
2. Perform the post-repair adjustments, verifications, and performance tests that pertain
to this removal procedure. Refer to
7-78
for this procedure. Note that there are two CPU boards shown. Refer
