Specifying the DHCP relay agent address to be
padded to DHCP requests
Perform this task to specify the DHCP relay agent address to be padded to the giaddr field of DHCP
requests. If you do not specify a DHCP relay agent address, the primary IP address of the DHCP
relay interface is padded to the giaddr field of DHCP requests.
To specify the DHCP relay agent address to be padded to DHCP requests:

Enabling client offline detection on the DHCP
relay agent
When an ARP entry ages out, the client offline detection feature deletes the relay entry for the IP
address and sends a RELEASE message to the DHCP server. The feature does not function if an
ARP entry is manually deleted.
To enable client offline detection on the DHCP relay agent:
