4. About the RAID Building Software

If failing a CF in mirroring

If a CF used in mirroring is failed, check the following message and follow the procedure below.

CF failure check

The following error message may be appeared on BIOS screen of this product while mirroring is being

used.

Error!! Problem is detected with Array x

A disk member of this array was removed and it is not functional now.

Please press <Y> to setup drive x as a IDE drive automatically or

press OTHER KEY to setup array manually later.

How to deal with failure

Dealing method 1 : Pressing [Y] key to restore the mirroring automatically

Try automatic restoration of mirroring by pressing [Y] key while the above error message is being

displayed.

If the above screen is displayed again after rebooting, the restoration has not been done yet.

If this is the case, try [Dealing method 2]

Dealing method 2 : Replacing the failed CF

If the above [Dealing method 1] has failed to restore, there is a possibility that one of the CFs is

damaged.

Please replace the damaged CF according to the following procedure.
