The availability of menu items in OSx changes based on events that occur in
the system. If you select a menu item when the system is updating the
menu, the item you choose may be dismissed. If this happens, simply select
the item again.
Some menu utilities are designed to be active on one OSx station at a time.
However, in a multiple-station system, there is a small possibility that two
or more users can access such a utility at the same time on different OSx
stations. If this occurs, the user who saves changes last is the one whose
changes will be in effect on all stations. An exception occurs when the first
user deletes the configuration that a second user has accessed. In this case,
the second user will get an error message when attempting to save the
configuration.
You can run Network Setup on only one OSx station at a time if there is no
sysadmin station in the system. If a sysadmin exists, you can run Network
Setup on the sysadmin and one other station at the same time, provided you
bring it up on the sysadmin first.
