7.3.5.2 Lost password

If the password of the highest defined access right (Supervisor) has been lost
special measures are required. In this case please contact the your> LEIBINGER
dealer.
Attention
The most critical user privilege in terms of the password and user
management is the <Password active> option on the Factory settings>
tab of the password settings dialog box:
This option has to be checked off at least for 1 user. If you try to
uncheck this option for all users there will pop a warning message and it
will not be possible to uncheck the option:

7.3.6 Password protection and Password prompt

If the password protection of the printer is activated a password prompt pops up
with each start of the printer.
Additionally the <Login> option in the <Extra> drop-down menu is activated and
selectable. Without the password protection activated the option is greyed out.
With this option a user can log in during the operation to e.g. carry out functions
which are not enabled for the currently logged in user.
It does not matter whether a user is logged in at the time the printer is switched
off. The printer will always start in logged out mode and the password prompt will
pop up.
If the password function is activated there is a checkmark √ in front of the
<Password activ> option.
Additionally the current user respectively the last user that has logged out is
displayed in the title bar.
Attention
Do not forget to log out after you have changed the settings of the
printer!
Only then the printer is protected against unauthorized use.
