1. Check:
• Thermostat housing 1
• Hose joints 2
• Cooling water hoses
Cracks/damage → Replace.

Thermostat check

1. Check:
• Thermostat valve opening a
Out of specification → Replace the ther-
mostat.
Checking steps:
1. Suspend the thermostat 1 in a container
of water.
2. Place a thermometer in the water and
slowly heat the water.
3. Measure the thermostat valve opening a
at the specified water temperatures.
