Oil cooler assembly check

CAUTION:
The oil cooler assembly should not be dis-
assembled.
1. Check:
• Oil cooler assembly
Cracks/damage → Replace the oil
cooler assembly.
• Oil cooler holding pressure
Cannot be maintained → Replace the oil
cooler assembly.
Checking steps:
NOTE:
When checking the oil cooler, connect the
hoses 1 to the oil cooler.
1. Connect the special service tool 2 to the
inlet of the oil cooler water passage a.
Leakage tester 2:
90890-06840
2. Cover the outlet of the oil cooler water
passage b with a finger.
3. Apply the specified positive pressure and
check that the pressure is maintained.
Specified positive pressure (water
passage):
200 kPa (2.0 kgf/cm
4. Repeat steps 1–3 to check the oil cooler
water passage between c and d.
