Cooling water pilot outlet check

Check that water comes out from the pilot out-
let while the engine is running in the water. If
water is not circulating, something may be
clogging the intake grate. Refer to "Jet pump
clean-out procedure" on page 124.

TIP:
The number of cooling water pilot outlets
varies according to the model.
AR195/SX195: 3 cooling water pilot outlets
AR190/SX190: 1 cooling water pilot outlet
It may take up to 20 seconds for water to
reach the pilot outlet when first launching
the boat. The amount and force of the exit-
ing water will vary with engine speed.
NOTICE
A continuous flow of water from the pilot
outlet shows that water is flowing through
the engine cooling water passages. If wa-
ter is not flowing out of the pilot outlet dur-
ing operation, do not continue to run the
engine. Overheating and serious damage
could occur. (See "Engine overheat warn-
ing system" on page 46 for more informa-
tion.)

Fuel level check

Select the fuel level display of the multi-func-
tion tachometer. (See page 39 for information
on selecting the fuel level display.)
