If you are using one of the following recent versions of Cisco IOS XE: 3.16.6, Denali 16.3.4 and later, Everest
16.4.2 and later, Everest 16.5.1 and later, see

to fully re-establish connectivity.
Re-establishing Connectivity—Method 1
This method applies to the following Cisco IOS XE releases: Cisco IOS XE 3.16.6, Cisco IOS XE Denali
16.3.4 and later, Everest 16.4.2 and later, and Everest 16.5.1 and later.
If there is an IPv6 address on an interface and the device cannot connect to the Internet or Smart software
agent, configure the interface to only use IPv4 for smart licensing, with the following configuration mode
command:
