Paper, User defined Formats

The size of the user defined formats can be selected in two ways.
1. Numeric Input: If no JAVA Plug-In is installed the size and the position of the scan
area can be defined by numeric values.
2. Activate "Use Java UDF" (refer to chapter 9.5.4) at the menu item "Settings".
Select the size and the position of the scan area by raising up a frame with the mouse.

User defined Formats, numeric input
In the middle of the selection window, the whole scan area is represented in a schematic
form.
The vertical line marked with "0" corresponds with the vertical line in the middle of the
document bed.
The value for the "Zero Offset" defines the shifting to the left (–) or to the right (+) starting
from the vertical middle.
The value for the "Bottom Border" defines the vertical shifting of the scanned area from
the edge of the document bed.
Please note that for all changes the following is valid:
A new setting or a new value is immediately transferred to the scanner.
