Configuring Ethernet CFM

Configuring SNMP Traps

To configure traps for Ethernet CFM, perform this task:

Switch# configure terminal

Switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps
ethernet cfm cc [mep-up] [mep-down] [config]
[loop] [cross-connect]
Step 3
Switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps
ethernet cfmalarm
Step 4
Switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps
ethernet cfm crosscheck [mep-unknown]
[mep-missing] [service-up]
Step 5
Switch(config)# end
Step 6
Switch# show running-config
Step 7
Switch# copy running-config startup-config
Use the no form of each command to remove a configuration or to return to the default settings.
The following example illustrates how to configure SNMP traps:
Switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps ethernet cfm alarm
Switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps ethernet cfm cc mep-down
Switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps ethernet cfm crosscheck mep-missing
Configuring Fault Alarms
To configure Ethernet CFM fault alarms, perform this task.
You can configure fault alarms in either global configuration or Ethernet CFM interface MEP mode.
Note
When a conflict exists, the interface MEP mode configuration takes precedence.
