CHECKING THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
1. Check:
• Throttle Position Sensor
a. Connect the digital circuit tester to the terminals
of the throttle sensor body, as shown.
• Positive tester probe וי
Blue terminal "1
• Negative tester probe וי
black / blue terminal "2"
b. Measure the input voltage of the throttle
position sensor.
OOS Replace ויor repair
wire harness.
Connect the multimeter to the terminals of the
throttle sensor body, as shown.
• Positive tester probe וי
blue "1"
• Negative tester probe וי
black / blue terminal "2"

Reading cycle of the output voltage
0 V to 5.0 V to 0 V to 5.0 V
a.
Connect the multimeter to the speed sensor
coupler (at the end of the cable harness), as
shown.

b. Adjust the position of the main switch to "ON".
c. Raise the front wheel and rotate it slowly. d.
Measure the voltage of white and blue / black.
With each full rotation of the front wheel, the cycle
of voltage readings should be
0 V to 5.0 V to 0 V to 5.0 V.
