TROUBLESHOOTING

The battery is not charging.

NOTE:
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following parts:
1.
Seat
2. Panel on the left side / side cover.

Check the fuse.
See "Checking the Fuse" on page 7-34

2.
Check the battery.
Refer to the "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY" in the
page 7-34.

3.
Check operation of the stator coil. Refer to
"Checking the stator coil" on page 7-41.

4.
Check the regulator / rectifier.
See "Verifying
REGULATOR / RECTIFIER "on page 7-
41.

5. Check the wiring of the charging system.
See section "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM" on
page 7-11.
