Capturing Images

CN4 Series Mobile Computer User's Manual
Keep your hand as steady as possible while scanning a label.
Position the imager as close to the bar code as possible while still
being able to capture the entire bar code.
Enable only the bar codes that you need to use every day.
Choose a Predefined mode in Intermec Settings:
a Tap Start > Settings > the System tab > Intermec Settings.
b Tap Data Collection > Internal Scanner > Imager Settings >
Predefined Modes and then select one of these options:
Predefined Mode
1D
1D and 2D Standard All types of bar code labels.
1D and 2D Bright
Environment
1D and 2D Reflective
Surface
Custom
The Data Collection Resource Kit includes .NET classes you use in
your image capture applications. For more information, see
"Developing Applications for the CN4" on page 62.
The CN4 includes Image Capture, a utility application that
demonstrates how you can capture images.

Using the Image Capture Application

1 Tap Start > Programs > Image Capture.
Chapter 1 — Using the CN4
Select if You Are Scanning:
Only 1D labels.
In high ambient light, such as outdoors in
the sunshine.
Glossy labels.
In conditions that require customized
settings. For more information about these
settings, commands, and parameters, see the
Intermec Settings Command Reference Manual
(P/N 937-016-xxx).
