In order to conduct a reliable and accurate probe calibration, the calibration zero
point which is later required must firstly be positioned via the probe's raw value to the
electrical zero point (see section 2.7, page 15). This is because the inductive probe
measures at the electrical zero point most accurately. The calibration of the probe in
our example is as follows: for the MAX value, a 2.000 mm gage block is used, the MIN
value is obtained on a measuring plate; however, a 1.000 mm gage block would be the
ideal electrical zero.

6.2.2 Execute a Probe calibration

Press the ON / OFF key

the screen
Press the u key to select the System
menu
Select the submenu Customer
calibration with the q key
Press 4 to confirm
Press the q key to select Probe
calibration
Press 4 to confirm or press Ó to
cancel selection
Enter the value for Calibration Min
(e.g. - 1.000 mm). Press the u key
to select the required position (digit).
Press the q p keys to enter the
required value.
To exit the input menu, press the ON /
OFF key.
