Any extension cables must meet the stipulations of the VDE (German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies). 9. Only Mahr-trained service personnel are permitted to carry out work on this instrument. Protective covers must only be removed by trained technicians and only when servicing is required. - Page 6 Do not allow any fluids to penetrate the instrument. 11. Inspect the connecting cables for damage. Change damaged cables immediately (Mahr service personnel). 12. Never move the height measuring instrument forcefully at the edge of the measuring plate. The air cushion at the edge does not dissipate quickly enough to slow down the movement of the height measuring instrument.
